Position:HEDIS Medical Record Review Nurse-1

Position Summary:
The HEDIS Medical Record Review Nurse will work with the Quality Improvement team to collect member records and conduct a review of the records for the health plan's HEDIS project. The nurse will contact providers to schedule reviews and enter the results of any review into a specific database. Medical record reviews are conducted on site in provider offices, hospitals or other healthcare entities. Local travel may be required. The candidate will be required to handle telephonic interaction with provider offices related to the reviews. The nurse must keep excellent documentation of research and contact information. The nurse must participate in training and must pass a medical record review abstraction test prior to starting actual record reviews. The nurse will be required to maintain consistent reliability rating of 95% or greater.

Job Description:

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Contact provider offices to establish appointment time to complete medical record reviews.

  • Complete comprehensive and thorough medical record review to extract medical record data per NCQA specifications for the health plan's HEDIS project.

  • Enter record review results into NCQA certified software.

  • Conduct investigation to identify potential locations for medical records.

  • Maintain confidentiality of Protected Health Information according to HIPAA guidelines and Essence Healthcare policy.

Experience, Qualifications and Education:

  • Associates Degree in a healthcare related field; Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in acute healthcare setting

  • 3+ years of experience with HEDIS Medical Record Review

  • Unrestricted Missouri/Illinois licensure as a Registered Nurse or LPN

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications

  • Knowledge of CPT codes, ICD-9 Diagnosis codes and HEDIS Technical Specification Requirements related to the HEDIS measures for data extraction.

  • Effective written, oral and interpersonal communications skills.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

He/she will provide expertise on how the systems interface, the bridging of information between the entities, and loads throughout the close process. This financial leader will review and initiate new redesign processes which have been impacted by the merger of Cushman & Wakefield's legacy firms, new financial system conversions and may touch on processes performed by our outsourced Finance Service Center (FSC) with Accenture. This person will also be a change agent to help the Company's controllership function prepare for public company readiness and assist with accounting for acquisitions. He/she will contribute to the development and maintenance of a robust controls environment for the operations and compliance with GAAP and Company accounting policies. Job Description Responsibilities * Generate Monthly reporting throughout the close process and adhoc reporting throughout the month * Partner with global controllership and FP&A teams to drive effective coordination and communication through the monthly close process * Build the team's credibility by engaging effectively with finance and operational business partners * Effectively utilize the Company's financial reporting tools (Workday, HFM, Essbase, etc.) to improve the efficiency of the monthly close process * Deliver monthly analysis for income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement * Redesign, refine and document processes to improve the accuracy and timeliness of reporting * Assist in the development of key internal controls and effective accounting policies in accordance with GAAP and industry best practices as the Company prepares for SEC reporting requirements * Key culture leader to support the continued integration of the legacy firms * Actively participate in the Company's internal and external audits to support timely and accurate completions of audits * As applicable, support tuck in acquisition integration and special projects * Manage, lead and develop a team of 1 – 2 direct reports Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Accounting * CPA designation (strongly preferred) * 7+ years of experience in increasingly significant accounting or finance roles * 2+ years of experience managing staff * Strong knowledge of ERP's and database software packages * Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial statement analysis (including statement of cash flows) * Proven business partner to divisions and corporate functions * Well-organized with ability to prioritize key deliverables * Effective written and verbal communication skills * Attention to detail and problem-solving ability * Ability to occasionally travel within the Americas as required Preferred Qualifications * MBA * Real estate industry experience * Balance of public accounting & industry roles Physical Requirements * Involves work of a general office nature; typically includes extended periods of sitting and/or operation of a computer for up to 8 hours a day * Regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to write and type * Ability to speak clearly so others can understand you * Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented orally and in writing * Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing and orally so others will understand * Regularly required to utilize vision abilities, allowing reading of printed material, graphics, and computer displays Cushman & Wakefield is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
