POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, this position supports the production in all areas of raw material movement inclusive of stockpile, bin movement, loading of trucks and loading of feed hoppers for the manufacturing facility and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Office Location: Fort Lupton, CO

Salary: $20.00 - $23.00/hr. DOE

Work Schedule: 5am

  • 5pm M-F and 5am

  • 12pm 3 Saturdays per Month! TONS OF OVERTIME!!!

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: General

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Learn and know all aggregates by visual indicators

  • Understand daily production schedule and resulting impact on material demand

  • Learn operation and maintain material handling system

  • Order next days raw materials as needed.

  • Demonstrate advanced operation & control of frontend loader

  • Inspect front end loader every day and perform required Periodic Maintenance (PM) duties

  • Load truck with block dump

  • Keep area around aggregate belts clean

  • Keep trash dumped throughout plant and assist in yard clean up

  • Remove snow during winter months by hand and/or by equipment

  • Support production personnel as needed

  • Keep workspace area clean and clutter-free

  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by company or its designated representatives

  • Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.

  • Predictable, and Regular attendance is required. Work overtime and weekends as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Advanced knowledge of front-end loader operation and controls

  • Experience operating Bobcat and Forklift

  • Experience in email and data entry

  • On-the-job training is required to be able to perform all duties

  • Must be able to obtain Basalite Forklift certification

  • Able to follow all safety procedures and rules

  • Communicate effectively with peers and management

  • Predictable, and Regular attendance is required. Work overtime and weekends as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; Reach with hands and arms; Talk and listen; Stand, walk, and sit.

  • Occasionally required to bend at the waist; Lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

  • Predictable, and Regular attendance is required. Work overtime and weekends as needed.

  • Plant environment with loud noise, moving machinery, dusty, dirty.
