Job Summary

Operates a wide variety of heavy equipment vehicles that perform the spreading and compaction of construction demolition, commercial and residential waste disposed at the post collection facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.

  • Operates heavy equipment in compliance with the company operating safety policies and procedures.

  • Conducts routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment; maintains accurate records

  • Moves and positions raw materials and finished components with use of material moving equipments.

  • Follow appropriate standard operating procedures as guideline for operating and maintaining vehicle

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

A. Education and Experience

  • Education: None required.

  • Experience: Three (3) years of previous experience operating dozer D6-D8 required.

Your primary responsibility will be to maintain and repair utilities equipment and special-purpose support systems. Some of your duties may include maintaining, testing, and repairing electric motors; inspecting and repairing electrical equipment; inspecting and repairing electric instruments, replacing worn gaskets and sealing in watertight electrical equipment; and maintaining and repairing gasoline engine systems, air conditioner electrical systems, and portable heater fuel/electrical systems. Job Duties * Inspect and repair air conditioner electrical systems, air conditioner vapor systems, refrigeration unit electrical systems, portable heater fuel/electrical systems, fire extinguisher recharging systems and fire extinguishers/valves Through your training, you will develop the skills and experience to enjoy a civilian career in any industry that uses equipment powered with electrical motors, including hospitals, manufacturing firms, and governmental agencies. Earn While You Learn Instead of paying to learn these skills, get paid to train. In the Army National Guard, you will learn these valuable job skills while earning a regular paycheck and qualifying for tuition assistance. Job training for a Utilities Equipment Repairer consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you'll learn basic Soldiering skills, and 13 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, including practice in repairing electrical products. Part of this time is spent in the classroom and part in the field.
