Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; three years of experience in skilled operation of heavy construction equipment to include rubber tire loaders and backhoes (possession of CDL-A will equate to two years of experience); or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Ability to perform light maintenance on heavy equipment is preferred.
Good customer service, teamwork, communication skills, and accurate record keeping are necessary. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class "A" is required within six months of employment. Training to obtain CDL license will be provided at no cost.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds is required. Current valid driver's license and good driving record required. Based on the Virginia DMV point system, record must not reflect a total of six or more demerit points within the twenty-four months preceding the anticipated hire date, or one major violation of six demerit points within the preceding thirty-six months.
Out of state driving records must be obtained by applicant and presented at time of interview. Records must reflect at least three years of history and be dated within thirty days of interview date. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.
Duties
Operate rubber tire backhoe to compact trash containers; operate rubber tire loader to push up and stack vegetative debris. Drive and operate a roll-off truck and a road tractor for hauling trash to local landfills and recycled goods to local recycling facilities.
Assist with site snow removal. Display a positive attitude. Safety is the top priority. Perform other work as required.

Shift
40 hours/week, 10-hour shifts; Saturday
Friday; 6:00 a.m.
4:30 p.m. and/or 8:00 a.m.
6:30 p.m.; overtime is required to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
