Troubleshoot, repair and maintain engines, transmissions, gearboxes, hydraulics, electrical and pneumatic systems on a variety of yard equipment (hoisting equipment, manlift/scizzorlift, forklift/loaders, dozer/side booms, pipe mill and fab shop equipment, burning equipment, painting and blasting equipment, compressors, winches, trucks, and other vehicles. The employee is expected to climb and work in high places that may exceed 200 feet in height and also work in confined spaces. The employee must work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload.


A high school diploma or GED, and 3 5 years related experience and/or training is required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

VIEW JOBS 11/20/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-18T00:00 Texas Licensed Fire Extinguisher Technician Job Description: * Inspect, repair, and test fire extinguishers using hand tools, hydrostatic test equipment, and monitoring devices * Hydro-test low pressure cylinders * Dismantle extinguishers and examine mechanical parts, extinguishing agents, and expelling means; replaces worn or damaged parts * Clean extinguishers and recharge them with approved materials * Inspect, test, and repair life safety systems, including emergency eyewash stations, emergency shower systems, emergency lighting, fall protection, hoists, etc. * Assist in fire safety inspection * Working conditions include restricted movement, air contamination, lifting or carrying of heavy objects Minimum Requirements: * Must currently hold certificate through Texas Department of Insurance * Skill in inspection, repair, maintenance and testing techniques for fire safety equipment and systems * Fire extinguisher maintenance certification * Experience in fire suppression would be considered an asset * Ability to work with small tools * Ability to lift 55lbs * Ability to carry and stand upon a portable ladder * Valid driver's license with clean driving history. * Competent computer skills * Strong customer relations skills * Ability to work independently * Must be able to obtain TWIC Card. * Must be able to pass background check and drug / alcohol test. * All inspections, repairs and maintenance on fire extinguishers and systems is performed in accordance with NFPA-10 Key Performance Indicators: * To complete monthly service work * To complete call outs on time * To produce all company paperwork correctly * To maintain clean vehicles * To maintain company supplied tools and PPE * To deal with customer generated queries efficiently * To maintain neat and tidy appearance * To return paperwork to agreed service standards F.I.R.S.T.
