Heavy Equipment Mechanic - Field Service

Job Description Job Description We’re looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Chester, VA. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a variety of construction machinery and components.

If you're passionate about heavy equipment and enjoy the challenge of working on diverse systems, we want to hear from you Key Responsibilities: Repair and maintain construction equipment, including components and assemblies. Develop and execute repair plans, determine necessary parts, materials, and tools.

Perform repairs safely, ensuring quality assurance testing on systems and machines. Complete all required documentation, including parts ordering, special tooling usage, and daily service reports. Communicate progress on repairs with supervisors and update work orders as needed.

Handle parts/materials retrieval through the company’s parts ordering system. Maintain and care for tools and equipment, including major shop tools (e.g., air compressors, cleaning tanks, overhead cranes). Utilize company vehicles, service trucks, and fuel cards properly. Keep work areas and service vehicles safe, clean, and organized.

Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Perform other tasks as requested by the manager. What’s In It For You:
