Heavy Civil - Structural Project Engineer - Old Saybrook

O&G Industries, Inc., an innovative and diversified construction company based out of Torrington, CT, is seeking Structural Project Engineers to join our team at our new Amtrak project in Old Saybrook.

The Amtrak project will involve building a two-track, electrified, movable (bascule) bridge structure equipped with new track, signal, catenary, power, communication, controls and security features.

This position is vital for ensuring the successful and timely delivery of complex heavy civil highway and bridge projects, spanning from pre-construction to project execution and completion. The role involves creating and managing construction documents, including submittals and RFIs, and acting as a liaison between the contractor and third-party engineers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in engineering or construction management

• 8-15 years of construction experience relevant to the type of work and the scope of the project and/or previous experience as a Project Engineer

• Strong knowledge of bridge structures and construction techniques (soil nailing, sheeting, etc.)

• PE license or working towards one preferred
