Summary

This position will maintain, repair, install, inspect, and adjust commercial and industrial HVAC and Mechanical systems. Will also oversee and direct the activities of other workers associated with the HVAC and mechanical operating system, chiller and cooling tower system, compressed air system, tank farm, and air house system. Also estimate, perform layouts, and schedule jobs as directed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

? Studies system blueprints, specifications, and performance data to determine configuration and purpose of system components such as compressors, motors, pumps, fans, switches, controls, ducts, or pipes.

? Maintains the following equipment: Trane 2500-ton centrifugal multi-stack chillers, Hanover Control monitoring and parameter setting, 100-ton cooling towers, FSE 800 to 1200 HP compressors and dryers for controls, robotics, and process, Air House with 2M BTU direct fire heat/AC/and air cleaners, RTU ranging from 25-ton to 80-ton Trane and McQuay, and tank farm up to 100 HP pump motors, controls, and instrumentation monitoring.

? Inspects system to verify system compliance with plans and specifications and to detect malfunctions in system component parts.

? Opens valves on equipment such as compressors, pumps, and condensers to prepare system for operation and starts equipment and auxiliary machinery.

? Starts systems, observes operation, reads gauges and instruments, and adjusts mechanisms such as actuators, valves, controls, and pumps to control system operation.

? Records temperature, pressure, and other readings on log sheet at specified intervals.

? Operates refrigerant recovery equipment, vacuum pumps, charging equipment and service gauges.

? Installs wiring to connect components to electric power source.

? Dismantles malfunctioning systems and tests components.

? Replaces or adjusts defective or worn parts to repair systems.

? Cuts, threads, gas welds, and connects pipe to functional components of HVAC systems.

? Cuts, bends, crimps sheet metal, installs air ducts and associated sheet metal components.

? Inspects and measures building to determine airflow requirements.

? Installation of complete heat and air conditioning systems.

? Lubricate fans, motors, and control units.

? Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical heat and refrigeration systems.

? Performs preventative maintenance tasking on all HVAC equipment. Including boilers and cooling towers.

? Oversees helpers and sub-contractors as needed.

Qualifications:

? Minimum of 1 to 7 years of relative experience in the industrial HVAC and mechanical field.

SUMMARY Accountable for thedevelopment, refinement, and recording of the business solutions and processimprovements within the Supply Chain Planning pillar. Operates as a liaison and manages therelationships between the businesses, technical, and other architect areasthrough requirement gathering, solutiondevelopment, test plan creation, project planning and execution as well astraining. Experiencein Microsoft Project is a plus.
