Who We Need:

Tellers are the face of M&T within our branches. Our customers enter with needs and leave feeling like we have their backs. As a Teller with M&T Bank, you'll be an important member of our branch team as we build relationships with customers, process their transactions, and help them understand options available to them. We'll provide on-the-job training in teller skills. If you're reliable, friendly, and ready to deliver excellent customer service, we're ready for you.

Your Typical Day:

  • Welcome all bank visitors with a warm and friendly smile

  • Listen to customers and understand their needs

  • Educate customers on products and services available to them

  • Accurately and efficiently process teller transactions

  • Support operational needs such as cash ordering, vault, ATM, wire transfer, Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and compliance-related tasks

  • Support a diverse environment that supports the M&T Bank brand

  • Complete other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

  • Minimum of 6 months customer service experience, including either cash handling or data entry experience

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Professional communication skills and interpersonal skills

  • Retail customer services skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Technology savvy

  • Bilingual ability is not required but is a strong plus depending on location

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting objects up to 30lbs

Branch Hours/Required Availability:

Infrequent Saturdays may be required as needed to assist other nearby locations*

  • Monday-Thursday: 9:00am-5:00pm

  • Friday: 9:00am-6:00pm

  • Saturday: Closed*

  • Sunday: Closed

Operates and maintain boilers, air conditioning and all other auxiliary equipment as a Grade 4 stationary engineer. (Level IV classification is determined by Harford County Public Schools.)</p><p>DUTIES AND</p><p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p><p>INCLUDE</p><p>OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES</p><p>These items are intended only as examples of the various types of job duties to be performed. The omission of specific duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is a similar, related, or logical assignment to the position.</p><p>Oversees, prepares, and maintains the multiple facilities among our largest school campuses which may include interscholastic athletic events. (i.e. stadium, track, turf field, tennis courts, auxiliary gyms, swimming pools, etc.)</p><p>Maintains working knowledge of the boiler(s), heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system(s) (HVAC).</p><p>Makes periodic visual safety inspections of the boiler, air conditioning and auxiliary equipment.</p><p>Troubleshoots and gathers necessary information on malfunctioning equipment and communicates findings to the Facilities Management Department in a timely manner.</p><p>Keeps fuel consumption records and prepares operating efficiency reports if required.</p><p>Orders fuel as required.</p><p>Requisitions equipment, tools, parts, and supplies.</p><p>Assists the building administration in evaluating employee work performance.</p><p>Advises employees of policies, procedures, and/or directives affecting their employment.</p><p>Advises the building administration concerning unexpected or unusual work problems.</p><p>Inspects area to assure maintenance of safety, sanitary, and security standards.</p><p>Assures maintenance of fire extinguishers and other firefighting equipment.</p><p>Submits accident reports.</p><p>Protects property from pilferage, misuse, or vandalism.</p><p>Performs security checks as required.</p><p>Inspects work performed by outside contractors and prepares reports on his or her findings.</p><p>Coordinates and oversees custodial supports required for after-school activities.</p><p>Performs building and other school campus facility cleaning activities.</p><p>Assigns, directs, and does follow-up on the work performed by custodial employees.</p><p>Maintains pesticide log sheets for school site and assists with any identified pest problems on the school campus.</p><p>Responds and assists as designated essential personnel during situations including but not limited to inclement weather assignments, vandalism, and emergency repairs.</p><p>Coordinates snow removal efforts to assume re-opening of the building as quickly as possible.</p><p>Performs other work-related duties as assigned.</p><p>SALARY</p><p>Grade 10 of AFSCME Salary Schedule ($54,572).</p><p>REQUIREMENTS</p><p>High school diploma or GED.</p><p>Three years of experience in a custodial, mechanical, or related trade, with a minimum of two years supervisory experience as a Chief Custodian or equivalent position.</p><p>Must hold and have maintained a Fourth Grade Stationary Engineer's License issued by the Maryland State Board of Stationary Engineers.</p><p>Required to attend pesticide application training with HCPS facilities and maintain a pesticide certification applicator card</p><p>Able to read and prepare requisitions and labels and is accountable for the ordering, receipt, storage and security of all supplies and equipment used by the custodial staff.</p><p>Individuals appointed to this position may be require to hold and maintain a valid driver's license to carry out the essential functions of the position.</p><p>Physically able to perform the essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodations, including handling wet and dry mop heads, buckets of material weighing up to 50 pounds and the ability to climb ladders in excess of fifteen feet as well as ability to access lifts, scaffolding, man lifts, pallet jackets, boom equipment and use back mounted equipment.
