Hearst, one of the nation's most diversified media, information and service companies, seeks a Manager within the Creative Communications Department. Creative Communications is the company's full service, in-house creative department responsible for company branding, all graphic design services and large-scale corporate projects. The Manager will work closely with the Director and Vice President of Creative, as well as the Creative Department.

Responsibilities include:

  • Project management - projects include a variety of communications (internal campaigns, emails, presentations, events, videos, photoshoots) for Hearst Corporate and Hearst Divisions

  • Manage production process of video shoots and photoshoots booking crews, locations, negotiating rates/usage, scheduling talent

  • Liaison with videographers/photographers

  • Coordinate with third parties/vendors

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

  • Manage changes in project scope, schedule and cost

  • Managers internal design team scheduling

  • Assist Director in oversight of design staff and production team

  • Assist Director in serving as a departmental contact for Hearst divisions and brands

  • Research content for creative projects

  • Review, copy-edit and proofread documents

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant work and project management experience

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

  • Highest attention to detail and standards of excellence

  • Strong planning and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work calmly and collaboratively in high pressure situations

  • Creative problem solver with an ability to think, plan and execute multiple projects simultaneously

VIEW JOBS 10/3/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-01T00:00 Position Summary/Objective: The Creative Communications Coordinator is responsible for supporting the VP of Creative Communications as well as the entire Creative team. This position reports to the Director of Creative Communications. Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Manage the calendar, travel arrangements, expenses and correspondence for the VP of Creative Communications. * Provide administrative assistance to the Creative Communications team including scheduling department meetings, managing the department's calendar, and tracking the team's vacation time and managing all shipping and delivery for the department. * Data entry and tracking of invoices and expenses for payment. * Maintain an Excel spreadsheet tracking hours worked on projects and time off in order to coordinate the reallocation of expenses for the department and maintain the Department calendar. * Asist with the logistics of photoshoots, inside and outside events and meetings including arranging travel and catering. * Source materials and estimates for special projects as assigned. * Manage inventory of office and art supplies for the department, placing orders to ensure supplies are available. * Serve as point person for operation and maintenance of office equipment. * Maintain filing systems for group records and maintain the department's information and records. * Assist the team with proof-reading documents. Competencies: * Minimum of one year of experience in office administration and support. * Interest in or degree in media, communications, publishing, etc. a plus. * Highest attention to detail and standards of excellence. * Strong planning and organizational skills. * Demonstrated ability to work calmly and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, under tight deadlines, and in high pressure situations. * Creative problem solver with an ability to think, plan and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
