Under the supervision of the Director of Child Development Programs or designee, the Health/Nutrition Coordinator ensures that the programs adhere to the Head Start Act regulations/ Performance Standards, and state and local requirements regarding health/safety/dental/nutrition services for young children birth to five years old.

Requirements / Qualifications
A combination of formal education, life experience, and work experience are considered when evaluating qualifications. Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Health Services, Nutrition, Public Health, or health-related field required. Certification as Health Educator or Registered dietician is preferred. Knowledge of and interest in child and family health care and a minimum of three years of recent experience working with families and children is required. Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.
