Location:Norcross, GA 30093
Hours: M-F, 8 hour shift (hours will range between 8am-7pm EST based on business need)
Salary: $13.00 - $15.00 Hourly

Summary:
Our client, a leading healthcare IT company is seeking a qualified Reimbursement Specialist to join the claims team.
Job Responsibilities:
  • First/third party billing utilizing the patient financial information system,
  • Adjudicating claims, follow-up reviews, processing/tracking of submissions, remittances and rejections
  • Inpatient/outpatient registration
  • Cashiering, credit and collections, charge master maintenance
  • Follow up with insurance companies and patients to ensure that all patient accounts are paid in a timely fashion.
  • Provide support to Accounts Receivable.
  • Handle Inbound/outbound calls from patients who have questions about their bill, want to pay their bill
  • Process insurance/demographic updates
Qualifications and Experience:
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required
  • Medical customer service industry experience
  • At least a year of revenue cycle experience with insurance claim processing, explaining benefits, follow up.
  • Requires strong verbal and written skills in order to effectively communicate with co-workers and medical office personnel.
  • Strong organizational/computer skills
  • Be able to maneuver in a fast paced-environment

Position Description The role is responsible for communicating by phone with insurance companies for the purpose of collecting and managing accounts receivable. The Reimbursement Specialist Level 3 ensures the timely receipt of claim payments and minimizes denials untimely claims. In this capacity, provides exceptional customer service and collection activities through efficient, effective communication and resolution of the outstanding accounts receivable balance. Must be willing to work flexible hours as late as 7pm * Minimum Requirements 5+years of medical revenue cycle experience. Experience with working with multiple payer sources to include Government and commercial insurances/claims system reimbursement processes. Essential Functions: * Adheres to HIPAA, PCI, and Change Healthcare Policies and Procedures * Follow up with insurance company on unpaid or rejected claims. Resolve issues and resubmit claims. * Post insurance payments using the medical claim billing software. * Responsible for resolving and/or appealing denials. Responsible for identifying billing/payment/system/collections issues or trends and reporting them to management. * Accurately documents all follow-up activities pertaining to each specific account in the CHC Workflow tool(s) concisely, completely and/or takes action in the client system as directed. * Submit insurance claims to clearinghouse or individual insurance companies electronically or via paper form. * Responsible for updating and verifying demographics and insurance information. * Responsible for working correspondence, edits and aged account receivable and identifying problem accounts to CHC leadership. * Analyze EOBs and RAs for denials and irregularities, take corrective actions, and reprocess claims. * Authorizing and processing account adjustments, processing urgent requests, following established guidelines. * The ability to multitask, prioritize and mange time efficiently. * Accepts special projects, assignments and instructions in a professional manner, and sees them through to completion of identified goals. * Provide assistance, coaching and training to staff members, including new hires. Provide enhanced training and assist staff with techniques to increase production, quality and collections. Assist in special projects assigned by management. * Perform departmental functions including reporting, processing transactions and meeting department standards. * Meet and/or exceeds productivity and accuracy standards that is established by management. * Other duties as assigned by the Change Healthcare Leadership members. Critical Skills: * Thorough knowledge and understanding of healthcare billing and collection practices and methodologies in an automated environment. Knowledge of healthcare billing and/or collections practices. Working knowledge of insurances and general reimbursement types: PPO, HMO, Indemnity, Medicare, Medicaid, Workers' Compensation. * Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills along with good math skills, ability to read, understand and follow verbal and written instructions; possess basic computer skills (Internet Explorer, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel).
