Our regulatory reimbursement practice is offering an excellent opportunity for a Manager role. If you possess a strong desire to serve clients with cost report and reimbursement consulting services in St. Louis and the surrounding region, train staff and mentor managers firm-wide, contribute to timely thought leadership materials, and continue developing as a regulatory reimbursement business advisor, we are looking for you! You will support firm leadership by staying aware of and preparing new business development growth opportunities within the practice.
How you will contribute:
Responsible for managing all phases of an engagement from planning to deliverables
Coordinate with the Partner on all phases of the engagement, including communications with the client, staffing requirements, project planning, and scheduling
Learn and develop new technical knowledge specific to our Healthcare Reimbursement practice and the clients we serve within the industry
Prepare, review, and analyze Medicare and Medicaid cost reports
Prepare work papers that provide a trail of the accumulation of client-provided information into the prescribed Medicare and Medicaid formats
Perform data collection and analysis utilizing cost reporting data and other client financial information
Involvement with a variety of reimbursement projects such as Medicare Disproportionate Share, Medicaid Disproportionate Share, S-10, and Medicare Wage Index reviews
We are looking for people with Forward Vision and:
Previous experience in any/all of the following: Medicare & Medicaid Cost Report preparation, Medicare Bad Debt, Disproportionate Share Hospital (DSH) Payment Advisory, Wage Index, and other specialized third-party reimbursement knowledge
Strong staff management skills and ability to effectively communicate with client personnel
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, Cost Reporting Software required
Ability to learn new technology applications including Microsoft Access and other software solutions used by the Firm to store and analyze data
Ability to organize significant amounts of information and manage multiple assignments on an ongoing basis
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university with an accounting, finance or healthcare-related discipline
Minimum of five years of recent experience in healthcare
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA or CPA candidate
Information/Data analyst education or experience
