Project Manager Senior:
The Project Manager Senior is responsible for managing multiple projects of varying sizes and duration including large projects from a global perspective that incorporates both the business and technical aspects of the project.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Applying project management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project deliverables, processes, and systems.
Coaches and mentors project team members; mentors other project managers.
Determines project scope.
Develops resource, risk, quality, cost, and scope management plans.
Develops training plans.
Develops requirements documents.
Develops project approval matrix.
Identifies project team training and tool needs.
Defines, recommends and secures contractual agreements for services and products.
Coordinates requirements, schedules implementation and post-implement plans, and develops service-level agreements for vendor partners and global resources firms.
Defines quality gates for each project methodology phase and defines critical success factors.
Establishes and manages the project warranty period as assigned.
Sets and manages expectations with senior stakeholders, resource managers and team members.
Provides performance feedback to team members and resource managers.
Must have the ability to create an effective team environment, build strong relationships.
Must be strong in solving problems and issues in a matrix environment and communicating effectively at all levels of an organization.
Requires a BA/BS in a related field; Minimum of 5 years professional project management experience required during which at least 3 years are spent leading and directing project tasks, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Previous or current knowledge/experience with Anthem Inc. systems.
Work experience in the health care industry; managed care experience preferred.
Experience managing multiple projects for cross-functional and/or enterprise-wide teams.
Must have strong prioritization, attention to detail, effective multi-tasking, verbal/written communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced complex project environment.
Proficient with Visio and Sharepoint required.
Proficient MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Experience with Earned Value Management and management of the integrated master schedule and experience creating and facilitating project change control process preferred.
.JIRA and Agile experience preferred
