Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida, has served the citizens of Manatee, Sarasota and surrounding counties for 70 years. Part of the Manatee Healthcare System, the hospital has earned The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval.

The 319-bed hospital with over 550 physicians, residents and allied health professionals, offers advanced healthcare services in a caring and compassionate environment. Services include cardiac care and cardiovascular medicine, emergency care for all ages, surgery services - including robotic-assisted surgery with the da Vinci Surgical System, a weight-loss program, orthopedic services, outpatient and inpatient radiology and rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep, oncology, wound care and women's and children's services. Manatee Memorial Hospital offers a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for babies with special needs and has the only Pediatric Center in Manatee County.

• Usual Shift: 3 days a week to include Every Other Weekend; 6:45 AM to 7:00 PM

Job Overview: The Healthcare Host/Hostess is responsible for effectively communicating with patients, staff and guests of the hospital to ensure accuracy and timelines of patient meal trays and floor stock. Major responsibility includes taking patient meal orders, delivers carts to the correct floor or patient area, collects trays and placsd garbage and trash in designated containers and replenish floor stock with food and nutrition items,

Qualifications

Job Qualifications: Experience/Knowledge:

High School Diploma or GED is required. Skills/Aptitude: Presents self in a highly professional manner to others and understands that honesty and ethics are essential.

Ability to maintain a positive attitude. Ability to communicate with co-workers and other departments with professionalism and respect. Maintains a professional relationship with all coworkers, supervisors, managers, and all customers.

Basic food-handling skills. License/Qualifications Certifications: None. General Qualifications:

Willingness to be open to learning and growing. Maturity of judgment and behavior. Maintains high standards for work areas and appearance.

Maintains a positive attitude. Ability to work a flexible schedule helpful. Must comply with dress code requirements.

Must be able to work weekdays, rotating weekends, and some holidays. Attends work and shows up for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity. Physical Requirements:

Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses. Ability to work in a standing position for long periods (up to 8 hours).

Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and lift up to 25 pounds. Working Conditions (may add additional conditions specific to defined work location): Generally, in an indoor setting; while performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily in a controlled, temperate environment; however, may be exposed to heat/cold during support of outside activities. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
