Primary Responsibilities:

  • Respond to eligibility requests and perform data entry to the system

  • Prioritize Urgent vs Non-Urgent requests to meet expected turnaround times

  • Investigate eligibility discrepancies and apply updates to the system

  • Research eligibility status using telephone, Health Plan websites, or real-time tools

  • Prepare monthly reports of membership totals

  • Interact with various internal and external departments for pending requests

  • Prioritizing and organizational skills are very important for this position

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED

  • 2 years of experience in an office setting using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform job duties

  • Experience within healthcare insurance industry

  • Intermediate proficiency with Windows PC applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Enrollment / Eligibility

  • Experience in HMO / PPO in eligibility maintenance
