Business Overview:

Essential Functions:

Interface primarily with BAPCC HENFP originations team and clients, bankers and cross-functional team mates to market, create, structure, negotiate and close transactions that meet client objectives while achieving optimal terms and conditions for BAPCC. Limited support of BAPCC GOV team also required.

Transaction Responsibilities:

  • Interact directly with multiple internal and external parties (bankers, clients, lawyers, accountants, vendors and financial advisers) to create and propose individual medium term capital (MTC) financial solutions that meet the unique needs of all stakeholders

  • Support the credit approval, documentation and funding of transactions once mandated

  • Take ownership of documentation negotiation process for any client as requested

  • Research market comps, bank pricing, bond comps and internal metrics to support a market client pricing strategy. Ensure accuracy of competitive pricing tool (database).

  • Support data entry and management of transactions from entry into the SUGAR client database management, DealFlo transaction detail and LMS transaction process management system inputs.

  • Reports: as needed, prepare and complete ad hoc and/or weekly/monthly/quarterly reports including business reviews and pipeline forecasting

Marketing Responsibilities:

  • Support in-market representatives: interface with sales to deliver value added prospecting, marketing, sales, and transaction support

  • Coordinate with sales officers and clients: create messaging and tools (analytical and simplified messaging slides) that support market opportunities for prospects and clients

  • Lead and/or support marketing and prospecting initiatives: work directly with marketing officers and executives to create and implement projects that lay foundation and create in-roads to specific sectors and territories. Potential for cold or warm referral calls.

  • Financial Models: build models to show MTC impact on balance sheet, income statement and rating agency metrics. Understand and build models of the impact of leases/loans on financial statements including opportunity cost analyses.

  • Industry Events: support relationships with industry specific organizations (e.g. HFMA, NACUBO) Leverage relationships to expand presence and elevate brand including marketing events (external presentations, roundtables or webinars)

  • Special Projects: as requested by business leaders; ad hoc requests by individual reps

  • Data entry: support sales with system inputs including client record (SUGAR) management including client calling, opportunity detail and DealFlo system progress

Required Education/Certification:

Bachelor's degree accounting, finance, economics, math or other business concentration; MBA preferred.

Prior Work Experience:

Five or more years of experience in the HENFP financial services industry with direct responsibility for or support of, originating, structuring, negotiating and closing credit/finance transactions. Familiarity with for-profit and not-for-profit healthcare providers and 501c3 cultural, community, religious and institutions of higher education preferred.
