You will investigate key business problems through quantitative analyses of utilization and health care costs data. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and analyze medical claim, membership, provider, general ledger, clinical encounter, authorization, pharmacy claim, and lab data

  • Lead projects to completion by contributing to data source & destination procurement, data mapping, data dictionary, crosswalk mapping, definition and interpretation

  • Document processes, intake, break/fix, governance

  • Logical, detail oriented thought process with the ability to breakdown a complex problem into individual root causes

  • Ability to identify and refine criteria to successfully increase efficiency of algorithm logic

  • Complete business analysis on new analytic opportunities that may include proof of concept, functional testing, determination of yield, time to complete, and financial impact

  • Explore potential trends identified by internal initiatives and matrix business partners

  • Generate functional business requirements used for various processes, analytic development, strategic reporting, and system navigation (SOPs, BRDs, PRDs, HLDs etc.)

  • Develop documentation diagramming & UML support

  • Triage anomalies observed with production processes and perform proof of concept analyses for remediation

  • Research, identify, and document initiatives delivered by SMEs and various Team members

  • Ability to integrate well with both internal and external IT partners

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2 years of work experience in a corporate setting
  • 2 years of health care experience working with medical information systems
  • 2 years working in a SQL environment
  • 4 years performing data analytics
  • 4 years working with Microsoft Office and associated software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Intermediate experience with CMS Files 837s, 834s, 277s, MAOs, X12, CCLF etc

  • Intermediate experience with Claim Processing Systems (Facets, Xcleys, Galaxy, IKA, EZCap, etc.)

  • Intermediate experience with Tableau
