ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to the following):

• Responsible for cleaning, preparing and setting up all areas of the facility. Including procedure rooms, operating rooms, patient rooms, offices, rest rooms, corridors, floors and other areas as assigned.

• Responsible for decontaminating and cleaning instruments immediately following surgical procedures.

• Must collaborate with others, organize well, accomplish tasks, solve problems and communicate effectively.

• Assess inventory levels of and place orders for supplies.

• Assist with patient transport and transfers.

• Additional tasks completed at the direction of the RN.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES REQUIRED FOR JOB PERFORMANCE:

• Must be proficient in basic computer skills.

• Must complete Bloodborne Pathogens and OSHA required trainings prior to performing role.

• Must receive site specific training and observation prior to decontaminating and cleaning instruments.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals and technical journals.

• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• The Healthcare Assistant role at Sono Bello requires both hearing and vision acuity.

• Employee will stand and walk for several hours each day but will also need mobility to sit for periods of time.

• Employee may need to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion. May require working under stressful conditions due to deadlines and time constraints.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE (including but not limited to the following):

• HS diploma or GED preferred. The ability to read and write English is required.

• Conversational English is required.

• Previous healthcare housekeeping experience is preferred.

• Patient care and surgical administrative task experience preferred.

COMPENSATION:

At Sono Bello, we believe that our team members are the keys to our success. The compensation range for this role is $19.02-$23.77 per hour depending on experience.
