NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Healthcare Applications System Analyst (Amisys) to join our team in Miami, Florida.

NTT Data's Amisys System Analyst will work with our client business teams to identify the requirement scope, as well as, create all requirements, planning documentation and follow all client & NTT Data defined processes. In this role, you will provide technical expertise and recommendations while assisting fellow team members, both on development and testing. You will also troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements while still providing innovative solutions and delivering the project on time and within budget and quality expected.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide full life cycle activities, including requirements analysis, quick sizing and estimation, system design, development and testing, production support, request management, incident management, production deployment and implementation, test environment support, coordination with the onsite/offshore team, coordination and communication with the business client and SME's on the project

  • Participate in business requirement discussions, identify system impacts and design solutions

  • Understand and have good knowledge of technologies, architecture, frameworks and processes used in the project, account and practice

  • Ensure your projects meet the customer expectations as measured by scorecards and NPS

  • Ensure SDLC/QA compliance using defined process and methodology

  • Participate in QA activities, final inspection, reviews, audits, metrics data generation, collection, interpretation and submission

  • Define and establish configuration management

  • Establish / enhance template, guideline, checklists and standards for project and team

  • Implement the best practices in coding and design while adhering to security policies and guideline in the project

  • Develop best suited solutions for accounts across Applications Line of Business

  • Production support and incident management

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in Information Technology

  • 5+ years of Systems Analyst experience

  • Proven experience with COBOL, PL/SQL, HP-Unix Shell Scripting

  • Healthcare Payer experience

  • Expert with SQL and RDBMS concepts

  • Ability to code independently

Preferences

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Consulting experience

  • Experience with Amisys

The employee may be assigned to a variety of tasks related to the creation, modification, or maintenance of systems, e.g. programming, user training, and/or to provide system support to users of various City-wide applications including all third party software packages supported by the Information Technology Department. Illustrative Examples of Essential Duties: * Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications. * Facilitates entire development life cycle including analysis, design, testing and implementation. * Participates in fact finding interviews (Joint Action Development-JAD) to gather information; applies current state-of-the-art technology to effect solution of problems; arrives at design objectives and requirements * Translates system requirements into record layouts and/or process flow diagrams, and prepares specifications for new information systems and/or improvements. * Organizes, performs and/or directs feasibility studies, systems analysis, system design, evaluation of operational systems, cost/benefit analysis, schedules resources and costs; makes formal written and/or verbal presentations of findings, recommendations and specifications. * Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software * Develops application programs using multi-tiered environment. * Writes system and security related programs. * Reviews system resources, performance and does maintenance. * Debugs Infrastructure Applications\Software problems. * Reviews security for problems. * Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installation to support an organization's application systems. * Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. * May be expected to write documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections. * Writes manual for users to describe installation and operating procedures. * Performs related work as required. * Develops and implements database tables including normalization. * Developing front-end web interfaces using Microsoft Technologies. * Develops queries and stored procedures. * Provides full life cycle development including data gathering, defining objectives, preparing time estimates, identification of problems and defining their solutions, translating system requirements into scope of work (SOW), presenting recommendations and specifications in written and/or verbal presentations. * Provides system documentation and maintains system enhancements and/or modifications through change management protocol. * Provides training to end-users. * Analyze system or application usage and plan for growth or increases in network capacity. * Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team.
