What You Will Do:

Consultants have responsibility for client management, solution implementation, and generation of project results. You will own project workstreams and interact with the client Consultants weekly to ensure engagement success. Senior Consultants are expected to prepare and communicate well-organized, effective reports and presentations to clients and internal executives.

You will lead, coach, and mentor consultants and ensure quality deliverables in actuarial modeling tasks such as developing healthcare projections, analyzing risk adjustment impacts, and designing and evaluating value-based contracts and other risk-sharing models for our clients. Project opportunities include but are not limited to actuarial analyses in support of payers and market-dominant providers at the regional and/or national scale, as well as application of transformative new payment models for large federal healthcare clients (up to millions of covered lives).

workstreams, and in doing so will have the opportunity to progress to the Managing Consultant level.

What You Will Need:

  • Completion of at least two actuarial exams, with intent and ability to progress to ASA or FSA

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Actuarial Science, Economics, Finance, Insurance, Mathematics, Risk Management, Statistics, or similar

  • Must be a US Citizen

  • Travel up to 25%

One year of work experience that includes the following:

  • Analysis and summarization of data using spreadsheets.

  • Knowledge of actuarial and statistical modeling techniques

  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and tasks.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills

  • Working knowledge of APMs (Alternate Payment Models) and/or VBP (Value-Based Payment) models in developing health claims projections

  • Knowledge of risk adjustment methodologies

  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to draw complex conclusions from data.

  • Knowledge of Business Analytics software such as PowerBI, Access, SAS or R, and/or SQL

  • Self-starter with the ability to work individually as well as part of a team.

The annual salary range for this position is $71,800.00-$107,600.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
