POSITION SUMMARY:


Join the remarkable team at UW Health at SwedishAmerican! As a division of UW Health, we offer patients local access to many world-class specialists right here in Rockford, Illinois and surrounding communities. We are seeking a#Health Unit Technician#to: Join our world-class team of doctors, nurses and other health care professionals in providing everything from preventive health care to highly specialized programs. Provide quality care in a compassionate patient- and family- centered environment. Provide support to Nursing Unit, utilizing all necessary equipment and systems following established department procedures. Order and maintain supplies to provide an optimally functioning Unit. Establish and maintain a variety of complete, accurate and timely records for Unit according to established policies. Serve as a unit liaison with inter departmental communications. # EDUCATION/TRAINING: Must provide copy of diploma/degree for highest level of education obtained. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Maintain Bi-annual CPR#required. Completion of Sitter education, EKG, and Phlebotomy training. Mother/Baby: EKG and Phlebotomy training are not applicable.# CNA certification required.# # EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Medical secretarial experience preferred. Excellent verbal, written, organization and customer service skills required. Must be able to read, write legibly and communicate effectively in English. Strong phone etiquette skills required. Good interpersonal skills#and ability to deal with all levels within the organization and community under#varied conditions. Familiarity with#medical terminology preferred. Basic knowledge of data entry skills preferred. Successful completion of annual clinical, age and job specific competencies and skill verification tools required.
