Responsibilities

  • Perform various duties to assess work practices and environmental conditions for hazards to the health and safety of workers. Generally, work is auxillary to supervising industrial hygienist.

  • Environmental conditions involve a variety of hazard, chemical, noise, heat, actinic rays, ionizing and non ionizing radiation, and other environmental physical agents.

  • Assigned work includes a variety of conventional industrial shops, production areas, laboratories, confined areas, and outdoor work sites and include significant functions involved in heavy industrial operation.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Qualifications for the GS-09 specialized experience is defined as: at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-08 grade level in the Federal service which include identifying and evaluating conditions inside and outside the workplace that may affect employee health; operating and maintaining field and laboratory instruments; assisting with industrial hygiene investigations and work-site sampling reviews. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-08.

Qualifications for the GS-08 specialized experience is defined as: at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes assisting in performing inspections and recognizing potential health hazards by utilizing industrial hygiene concepts, principles, policies and practices. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-07.]

Qualifications for the GS-07 specialized experience is defined as: at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes industrial hygiene concepts, principles, policies and practices to perform independent inspections and the ability to recognize potential health hazards

If you or someone you know are interested in this opportunity please contact Mike Zwada, at Micz597@kellyservices.com or apply online. $22.39 + $4.41 H&W Responsibilities: * Receive, store and issue bench stock, repair parts, tools and STTE, establish and make entries to and maintain stock control and accounting records for the Abrams Tank Family of Vehicles. * Establish and maintain records for both manual and automated maintenance management systems. * Perform HAZMAT shelf life surveillance management as requires. * Generate Reorder/Reorder Point (RO/ROP) Bench stock items, reports for inventory management. * Conduct location accountability surveys and inventories, post to records, tools and STTE. * Provide administrative support for Tool Room personnel. * Potential for exposure to temperature extremes in performance of duties. * Transport repair parts and/or supplies to other workers or areas using material handling equipment (MHE) or commercial vehicles, as required. Qualifications * Three or more years of experience working in logistics and familiar with Military Logistics' terminology and processes, handling hand receipts, tool names and numbers, and National Stock Numbers (NSN's) and have knowledge to prepare necessary forms to fulfill Supply Support activity requirements for the Retrofit Team. * Must have a High School Diploma or GED. * Able to travel with the Retrofit Team to other military or field sites within the U.S. * Excellent communication skills along with professional demeanor that extends to all levels of the organization to include our customers and management. * Must be knowledgeable and experienced with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and Power Point) and be able to become proficient in Lotus Notes. * Must possess valid vehicle operator license and be able to obtain DA Form 348 to operate forklift, related MHE and US Government and commercial vehicles; as required. * Ability and knowledge in all aspects of the use and care of hand tools, STTE for MFT Deprocessing. * Must demonstrate ability to complete programs and projects. * Must be a U.S. person. * Able to coordinate and collaborate with other material handlers and supervision to ensure processes are aligned. * Requires minimal supervision and capable of working independently with minimal errors. * Acquired knowledge of Processes, products and military technology in support of the Retrofit. * Must be willing to train on SAMS-E, SARS, LMP and PBUSE, if required. * Able to lift and carry 50 lbs, work in extreme temperature and environmental conditions in assigned asphalted motor pool open area or buildings as well as other assigned fielding areas, following prescribed OSHA rules. Must be able to work at heights and climb ladders to access, move and deliver parts.
