These positions are located within various Medical Centers in VISN 1, Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital, Bedford, MA; VA Boston Healthcare System, Brockton, MA; Central Western Massachusetts Healthcare System, Northampton, MA; Providence VA Medical Center, Providence, RI; VA Connecticut Healthcare System, West Haven, CT and VA Maine Healthcare System, Augusta, Maine. You will provide leadership and direction for innovative system improvement methods that are driven by and closely linked to VHA/VISN strategic goals. You will work in partnership with VISN and Medical Center Senior Leaders to create, plan, promote, and implement initiatives and interventions that are aligned with organizational goals and to provide change management and improvement support for the organizational transformation of a large, geographically diverse public health care system. You will be in charge with deploying Lean Six Sigma as a tool to conduct studies and organizational analysis of diverse functions and work processes at multiple medical centers and provides management and leadership consultative guidance to effect improvements in mission effectiveness, resource utilization and cost savings as a component of the Organizational Performance throughout VISN 1 and within each Medical Center.

  • Serving as a coach of Network or Facility Director chartered improvement teams

  • Lead and coordinate quality and Lean Six Sigma efforts throughout VISN Medical Centers to align organizational strategy and operations at all levels of the organization

  • Conduct Optimization Studies to address complex problems in healthcare quality, safety, effectiveness and efficiency

  • Lead complex and far-reaching system improvement initiatives using systems redesign and improvement principles

  • Uses independent judgment and resourceful solutions to respond to time sensitive complex organizational challenges in an integrated health care delivery environment

Specialized Experience: Must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience equipped with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the Health System Specialist

  • Lean Six Sigma position. To be creditable, this specialized experience must have been equivalent to the S-11 level in Federal Service. Specialized experience is progressively responsible analytical or administrative, or clinical management or supervisory experience in the health care field. This work may have been performed in an operating health care facility or higher organizational echelon with advisory or directional authority over such facilities. Work must have involved a close working relationship with facility managers and analysis and/or coordination of administrative, clinical, or other service activities, and provided knowledge of the following: (1) Missions, organizations, programs, and requirements of health care delivery systems; (2) Regulations and standards of various regulatory and credentialing groups; and (3) Government-wide, agency, and facility systems and requirements in various administrative areas such as budget, personnel, and procurement. In addition to the above guidance, some examples of specialized experience includes: possessing Lean Six Sigma knowledge and experience in a medical facility; working experience leading and coordinating quality and Lean Six Sigma efforts throughout Medical Centers to align organizational strategy and operations at all levels of the organization; conducting optimization studies that include addressing complex problems in healthcare quality, safety, effectiveness and efficiency, using a wide range of advance analytical techniques, statistical methods and industrial and quality engineering tools to collet baseline information to identify limitations in current systems and to discover potential improvements; leading complex and far-reaching system improvement initiatives using systems redesign and improvement principles including planning, organizing, and deploying those system improvement initiatives that are aligned with organizational strategic goals and priorities; developing, deploying, evaluating and integrating training materials or other tools to assist senior leaders, managers, and staff for successful and effective improvement planning and deployment. (This experience must be documented in your resume)

This position is in a fast-paced environment with several different processing time-frames, compliance regulations and daily deadlines. Responsibilities Responsible for processing and contributing to the daily activities to ensure all functions are completed accurately and customer requests and transaction settlement are completed within the established time constraints. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: * Review critical maintenance (new accounts, CIP, role changes, name changes, social security number changes and address changes) reports to insure proper documentation and customer identification is obtained. Track exceptions in iDentifi Trak. Update missing CIP report and send letters when needed. * Wire Processing and daily balancing. * Process Levies, Writs, Summons to Trustee orders in accordance with Final Garnishment rule. Identify HarborOne accounts, insure protected funds aren't being held, hold funds as required, process payouts and releases according to the legal orders. * Process incoming research requests, and court ordered Subpoenas. * Process monthly Reg D exceptions. Mail out letters, process account maintenance and assess excessive transaction fee. * Process consumer loan e-payment requests: * Create ACH file and load it to Ibanking * Create and load swim file into insight * General ledger and internal account reconciliation. * Prepare monthly IOLTA committee reports. * Other duties as assigned. Perform all duties professionally and within HarborOne policies and procedures. Complete appropriate audit form, identify exceptions and report to manager for resolution. Maintain a good understanding of all other Operations department processes and provide assistance as needed. Flexibility in hours to meet the needs of the business.
