Department/Organization: 208101 - Dean's Office-CCHS

Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm; limited evenings and weekends.

Job Summary: The Health Services Support Associate ensures smooth flow of planning, preparation, and execution of activities related to CCHS health and wellbeing initiatives for faculty, staff, and students.

Supports faculty/staff recruitment and onboarding functions and other enterprise activities. Provides program budgetary support and administration.

Additional Department Summary: Leads coordination of UA Flu Blast campaign, Bama Bound information sessions, and other campus and community health services initiatives for the College of Community Health Sciences (CCHS). Serves as liaison for CCHS Dean's Office to coordinate administrative support for University Medical Center, Capstone Hospitalist Group, UA Student Health Center.

Provides direct support for College Internal/External Relations initiatives and campus events. Assists with CCHS faculty and staff recruitment functions, including J-1 and H-1B Visa processing coordination and other onboarding support. Supports enterprise services for the College, including Finance and Operations, Purchasing, Business Office, Health Informatics, Contracts, Building Services, and Advancement.

Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and four (4) years of administrative experience; OR associate's degree and two (2) years of administrative experience; OR bachelor's degree.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license.

Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.

Skills and Knowledge: Ability to analyze and interpret complex data.

Ability to research and prepare comprehensive reports. Working knowledge of standard office software applications, including Microsoft Office. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Skill in organizing work to achieve department goals and objectives. Excellent public relations, customer service, and telephone etiquette skills. Ability to cope with stressful conditions.

Ability to demonstrate tact, versatility, and adaptability. Ability to demonstrate a high degree of self-motivation and directional initiative. Ability to work on multiple, ongoing projects, prioritize tasks, and meet stated deadlines.

Skill in exercising initiative, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making. Ability to recognize and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a healthcare or business related field and three (3) years of experience in a healthcare and/or higher education environment.
