Your Specific Responsibilities:
This position serves as the Health Services Representative and works under the general supervision of Operations Manager A, SES, position #64033786, This position is responsible for the position serves as the Health Services Representative and works under the general supervision of the Operations Manager A - SES, position 64033786, provides professional support and technical assistance to the staff, community agencies, and the general public. This position will be required to perform duties at mulitple sites within the county to include, but not limited to, Health Department in Volusia County locations as well as sites established/co-located within the community in conjunction with community partners.
The employee is expected to arrive at assigned location (daily) on time at the provided start time. Mileage will not be paid for travel to different service site locations within the county.
This is a highly responsible position requiring independent judgment and the ability to utilize a solid decision-making process involving the daily operation of the Florida Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program. The Health Services Representative performs activities diverse in functions that require independent planning and operation under limited supervision.
This position requires flexibility, ability to prioritize daily work duties as needed, and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. The incumbent must be able to effectively communicate with program staff, clients and community representatives.
Works directly with the daily operations for the Florida Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Screening Program
(FBCCEDP), performing tasks that will include but is not limited to:
person for screenings and or diagnostics; ensuring said services are appropriate and timely.

Provides health care information and serve as resource specialist to other agencies and civic organizations, schools, professional groups, medical providers and community members. Provides education and participates in outreach events regarding FBCCEDP services and refers to collaborative partners for additional services as indicated. Works with community agencies to establish working relationships that ensure access to needed services and referral support and promote program in the outlying
communities. Participates in community outreach events that may include health fairs held by Faith Based churches, Annual Events planned during October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, as well as others throughout the year.
Provides Care Coordination which includes the assessment of the client's need for support to optimize potential for follow through on recommended diagnostic or treatment procedures. It involves establishing, broking and sustaining a system of essential support service for women enrolled in the program.
Take and record vital signs including height and weight and alert the nurse or clinician if they are abnormal. Document patient information in the Electronic Medical Record.
Prepare client for exam and assist provider with procedures. Assist with client follow-up including, but not limited to, responding to telephone messages, making calls to clients, faxing documents and obtaining laboratory and test results. Keep all exam rooms, clean and stocked with appropriate supplies, clean and ready for use.
Performs venipuncture, collect urine specimens and operate routine laboratory equipment. Process blood, urine and other lab specimen for analysis. Perform labeling, packaging and shipping of specimens for analysis. Assists nursing staff with instrument and equipment cleaning, disinfection and autoclaving
