SUMMARY:

Under close supervision, maintains accurate student records for the Health Services team. Performs data entry including immunization records and screening results.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Health Services

  • Maintain student health data records in the Student Information System.

  • Input case management notes and other information into student information systems.

  • Maintain scheduling data on computer.

  • Support Health Services Team with responsibilities related to community health.

  • Assist with Team Professional Development events and meetings.

  • Support Health Services Team with immunization events.

  • Provide health screening assistance on campus as needed and input student screening results into Student Information System.

  • Provide online registration support with responsibilities related to student health.

  • Provide secretarial back-up support with Health Services daily operations as assigned.

  • Attend and participate in Health Services meetings and special events and serve on sta? committees as required.

Other

  • Answer and respond to incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.

  • Make meeting arrangements for department activities including preparing materials, scheduling and setting up facilities, and arranging equipment/meals.

  • Receive, sort, and distribute mail and other documents to department staff.

Policy, Reports, and Law

  • Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records and other documents as required.

  • Maintain confidentiality.

  • Develop and maintain systems for retrieval of information in support of all programs; compile, maintain, file, and secure all physical and computerized reports, records, and other required documents.

  • Pursue Professional Development activities for self.

  • Comply with all policies, operating procedures, legal requirements, and verbal and written directives.

  • Comply with the Professional Code of Ethics and Standard Practices for Texas Educators.

  • Follow District safety protocols and emergency procedures.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience:

  • Three (3) years successful clerical experience

SPECIAL KNOWLEGDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records

  • Ability to use software to develop or maintain spreadsheets and databases and do word processing

  • Proficient keyboarding and file maintenance skills

  • Basic math skills

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • None

Tools/Equipment Used:

  • Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals

Posture:

  • Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting

  • Repetitive hand motions, frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching

Lifting:

  • Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)

Environment:

  • May work prolonged or irregular hours as needed with prior approval

  • Work to be completed on-site from assigned school or building

  • No remote work
