The Health Service Coordinator provides general clinical, clerical, and technical support to nurses in IQIPS, to include Nurse Line, Care Management, and Community Health Access departments. The health service coordinator role requires telephonic interpersonal skills characterized by clear communication in an empathetic and professional manner. The position requires the ability to make decisions consistent with Marshfield Clinic Health Systems' policy/departmental protocol, with strict observance of patient confidentiality.
Variable Day & PM shifts, includes every other weekend
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: High school degree or equivalent
Preferred/Optional: Graduate of a Health Unit Coordinator Program preferred. Experience in lieu of education will be considered.
Minimum Required: Knowledge of Medical Terminology required. Knowledge of office equipment, including CRT/word processor, dictation equipment, copy machine and calculator is essential.
Preferred/Optional: Previous related work experience; Type a minimum of 30 words per minute on a typing test; Knowledge of various software programs, i.e., electronic health record, department specific software applications, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Telephone Software).
