Our Health Services clerk performs daily office clerical tasks such as filing, recording, maintaining records, copying, posting, and other similar duties.
Demonstrated experience in office procedures and related clerical duties.
Ability to interact in a professional manner in both individual and group settings.
Ability to work with a team of patients and have the ability to implement team strategy approaches to work assignments.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to understand and carry out moderately complex oral and written instructions; make minor decisions in accordance with rules and regulations as they apply to work problems, maintain company records; and meet and deal effectively with the public and patients.
Answers phones and takes messages.
Maintains moderately complex indexes and files.
Type correspondence, reports, and other materials as required.
May operate an adding machine, calculator, telex terminal, copy machine, or any other office machine requiring no previous training.
Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.
Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.
Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.
Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.
Must be able to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.
Post orders, if applicable, per site contract.
Perform other duties as assigned.
