River Edge is currently seeking a Health Service Technician to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team.
Location/Schedule: The ACT Team works Monday-Friday-8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with on call as needed. ACT provides mental health treatment out in the community wherever services are needed.

ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) is a highly intensive, outreached based, out of clinic, service provided by a multidisciplinary team of professionals. Population targeted is individuals who have serious and persistent mental illness and some have a co-occurring diagnosis of substance abuse.
These are individuals who do not typically come into a clinic setting for traditional treatment. The ACT Team takes the treatment services to them in their homes, shelters, sidewalks, etc. ACT is available 24 hours/7days a week to individuals through an on-call rotation among ACT team members.
Services will be provided after hours and on weekends. Services provided to Baldwin and Bibb counties.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides a broad range of paraprofessional social services to patients/clients/consumers and their families, participates in treatment team planning, and performs crisis intervention.
Assists in dealing with personal and social problems. May provide supportive counseling to consumers and families and/or serve as a liaison for social services. May perform case management duties, care for ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled persons.
Minimum Training & Experience: High School Diploma or GED and a good driving record.
Previous behavioral health work experience preferred. Applicant must be computer literate.
Applicant must be available to work on any shift as needed.
