JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Health Science teacher will facilitate career skills and prepare students for certifications through classroom instruction blended with work-based learning experiences. The Health Science teacher will follow the curriculum that is focused on academic foundation in addition to hand-on skills that are practiced in a health care environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible members of society.
Determines individual and class needs.
Establishes objectives and plans learning experiences.
Implements activities using a variety of techniques to utilize instructional time and meets objectives.
Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior to achieve a functional learning atmosphere.
Exhibits positive human relation skills.
Evaluates the educational program and/or student progress.
Communicates with parents/guardians, colleagues, and community groups.
Demonstrates proficiency in written and oral communication.
Maintains and submits records and reports in timely manner.
Adheres to school system rules, administrative procedures, local board policies, and state & federal rules & regulations.
Engages in professional growth & demonstrate professional ethics & leadership.
Other duties as assigned by principal.
Perform other duties as assigned.
