The Role...

As the Health & Safety Manager (Food & Beverage), West Coast you will provide professional advice to ensure compliance with legal and operational requirements, support the site teams in all West Coast sites to operate to Soho House standards and drive a culture of performance and safe behavior.

Specifically, the role will provide multi-site operational support through:

  • Effective front-line support and problem solving
  • Inspecting, monitoring and auditing of the sites
  • Delivering H&S and food safety training and mentoring to colleagues (senior and junior)

Principal

Responsibilities:

  • Confidently communicate throughout the region to deliver best practice and maintain compliance with legal requirements, including responding to change, providing support to new business/location set up and external off site/pop up events
  • Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and is able to support this with evidence
  • Uses structured techniques such as logical reasoning, root cause analysis, etc. to explore problems, provide constructive challenge and propose solutions/alternatives
  • Actively manages and drives continuous improvement
  • Writes effective reports and improvement plans, and conveys them to staff
  • Uses management information to enable compliance reporting
  • Demonstrates a proactive, can-do approach to delivering change
  • Possesses written, numerical and computing skills appropriate to the role
  • Self-driven, motivated individual who has the skills to work effectively on their own, whilst possessing the judgement to ask for assistance from others when needed
  • Demonstrates the ability and experience to train, inspire and develop individuals
  • Demonstrates leadership skills and is a flexible and adaptable team player who can perform well in a fast paced and sometimes pressured environment

Requirements

Food Safety Essentials

  • Level 4 Award in Managing Food Safety in Catering or similar
  • Level 3 HACCP or above

Food Safety Desirables

  • Diploma in Food Safety and Food legislation.
  • Higher Certificate in Food Premises Inspection

H&S Essentials

  • Certificate in General industry safety

H&S Desirable

  • Certified safety profession

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
  • Must be able to make periodical fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the property to others.
  • Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb is required.
  • Must be able to perform physical activities such as lifting, cleaning, and stooping.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, reach, push, twist, walk, crouch, and squat

This could be the launch of a new Netflix series, the return of Game of Thrones or the premiere of a new Marvel movie. Who we are The Social team is part of Global Consumer Marketing at Twitter, and we help communicate our thoughts and announcements to the world. We also help monitor conversations happening on Twitter, and even join them! We help show the fun side of Twitter, in areas that people are passionate about. We work closely with stakeholders such as Comms, Product, and executive leadership to help generate positive conversation, usage, and education of Twitter. What you'll do * You will be responsible for monitoring conversation and managing replies where appropriate on @TwitterMovies and @TwitterTV specifically - you must have a strong knowledge and passion for all things movies and TV.
