Health & Safety Communications Specialist
The Safety, Emergency, and Enterprise Risk Management Office (SEERM) is seeking a Health & Safety Communications Specialist. This individual will primarily work within SEERM on high level projects and communications to include the following responsibilities:
Contribute to the development and formatting of internal and external health and safety related communications;
Coordinate website updates to keep the greater Mason community informed of Mason's plans and procedures as they are developed and approved for public dissemination;
Conceptualize and produce graphics and other high-level visual and written communications tools;
Advise on and contribute to other tasks/initiatives as needed in support of the university's cautious and measured path towards post-pandemic campus operations.
Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education/training and/or experience in marketing and/or communications;
Significant demonstrated experience with Web design, graphic design, communication, and marketing campaigns;
Must be able to communicate effectively, manage own projects efficiently, and multitask;
Ability to collaborate and communicate with colleagues clearly and insightfully, with technical and nontechnical end-users;
Experience building WordPress websites and using Adobe InDesign.
Previous experience with health and emergency communications and experience at an institute of higher education are both highly preferred.
