Job Title: EH&S Administrative Assistant
Reports To: EH&S Supervisor
Provides administrative and technical support to the Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor on all personnel/ EHS matters.
Required Education and Experience:
Conduct facility audits for compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations
Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment and practices, in order to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations
Compile and analyze injury and hazard trending data
Facilitate and track environmental, health and safety training
Develop environmental, health and safety programs and assist in program implementation
Assist with complying with environmental, health and safety standards, regulations
Fluent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Excellent English Communication skills (oral and written)
Strong Coordination and organizational skills
Strong communicator in the English language, both written and oral
Support and contribute to the Quality Systems and Environmental Systems Requirements
Adopt a common sense approach to identifying and addressing problems and control weaknesses
Ensure that all duties and tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient manner and at no time is the employee or their co-workers placed in an unsafe condition
Competency Level 1 all systems where personnel need to have a basic understanding of the process and interactions as determined by the team.
Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook
Health and Safety:
Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company and plant rules, policies and procedures
Must use or wear Personal Protective Equipment and certain clothing as required by the Company
