Health Program Specialist 1

The Position

Health Program Specialists plan, develop, implement and evaluate health services and activities; develop goals, objectives, program requirements and procedures; provide technical information regarding specialized health related conditions; and participate and provide support to various committees, advisory boards and other work groups.

Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.

The Division of Public and Behavioral Health: Wellness and Prevention is recruiting for a Health Program Specialist I in Carson City, Nevada.

This position will serve as the program coordinator for the Crisis Stabilization Centers linked to the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. This Health Program Specialist will work with state and federal partners to coordinate the 988 Crisis Stabilization Centers for the state of Nevada.

This includes fiscal oversight, program coordination, subgrant management, and partner development.

The Health Program Specialists plan, develop, implement, and evaluate health services and activities; conduct research and analyze health data and statistics; develop goals, objectives, program requirements and procedures; provide technical information regarding specialized health related conditions; and participate and provide support to various committees, advisory boards, and other work groups. Duties are related to one or more specialized health programs which operate on a statewide basis and focus on the prevention, early detection, treatment, education and tracking of data relevant to specific user-served or target groups within the general population.
