    Responsibilities The Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement manages the New York State Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP). The Health Program Coordinator I will coordinate activities focusing on the usage of NYS PMP data to maximize overdose prevention capacity. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating project planning activities and the expansion of stakeholder engagement. This individual will lead planning sessions with both internal and external partners, refine project scopes, set clear objectives, and align activities with the goals of meeting grant deliverables.

    The Health Program Coordinator I will coordinate the dissemination of findings, including the effective distribution of surveys and data collection tools, and the development of reports that synthesize findings for healthcare practitioners and public health officials. They will contribute to creating and implementing educational initiatives aimed at increasing PDMP search rates. Responsibilities also include the development of educational materials and analyzing the effectiveness of these interventions.

    Additionally, the Health Program Coordinator I will organize and lead both in-person and virtual meetings with Local Health Departments (LHDs) to discuss strategic applications of PDMP data tailored to meet specific community needs. Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of experience in program coordination in a public health, health, health regulatory, or human services related program; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and five years of such experience; OR seven years of such experience. At least one year of experience must have included supervision of staff and/or program management.

    A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience in public health, with a strong understanding of Social Determinants of Health. Experience in developing and conducting surveys or other data collection tools, data analysis (qualitative and/or quantitative), and writing reports.

    Experience with developing education or training programs, stakeholder engagement, and coordinating planning meetings. Demonstrated excellent communication skills. Conditions of Employment Grant funded position.

    Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required. Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

    Travel, up to 10% of the time, will be required. This position requires that the incumbent will report to the official work location and live within commuting distance to the official work location. Telecommuting will be available.
