Maryhaven is a nonprofit, Long Island based agency committed to helping persons with special needs including intellectual disabilities, mental health issues, physical disabilities, and/or substance abuse/dependence issues to realize their full potential. The agency's purpose is to establish, maintain and operate progressive programs and services which are residential, educational, vocational, and rehabilitative in nature. The ideal goal is the attainment of normalization, in all aspects of life, for each individual we support.
Responsibilities will include:
Responsible for coordination, implementation and documentation of medical visits for all of the individuals in accordance with regulatory requirements and agency policy. Serves as a liaison between doctors, parents and staff in a manner, which exhibits commitment to quality of care.
Responsible to coordinate and implement ordering and maintain inventory of medical and office supplies. Assists with direct care of all individuals in the infirmary and assisting nursing personnel in accordance with agency policy
High School Diploma/GED required.
Maintains a valid NYS driver's license.
Maintain Medication Administration course (AMAP), CPR certification and First Aide and SCIP certification.
