General Function:

Sets the department standards for customer service, employee relations, cleanliness, sanitation, professional appearance and overall profitability. Coordinates the delivery of the most innovative and best quality product at a competitive retail price.

Reporting Relations:

Accountable and Reports to: Store Director, Managers GM, Perishables, and Store Operations, Assistant Managers GM, Perishables, and Store Operations; Assistant Managers

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Maintains a positive attitude; creates an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork. Generates a friendly atmosphere by encouraging employees to greet and speak to customers; providing prompt, courteous, and efficient service to customers and sets a good example.
2.Sets the department standards for customer service, employee relations, cleanliness, sanitation, professional appearance and overall profitability.
3.Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee's designated department or elsewhere in the store.
4.Makes an effort to learn customers' names and to address them by name whenever possible.
5.Assists customers by:

  • escorting them to the products they're looking for
  • securing products that are out of reach
  • loading or unloading heavy items
  • making note of and passing along customer suggestions or requests
  • performing other tasks in every way possible to enhance the shopping experience
    6.Answers the telephone promptly when called upon, and provides friendly, helpful service to customers who call including taking customer orders.
    7.Recruits, hires, trains, supervises, disciplines, and evaluates all department employees.
    8.Determines department goals with store director.
    9.For the purposes of homeopathic and natural wellness products, employee will assist customers by accessing/obtaining information and pointing to the product, however will not provide instruction on the product or its use.

  1. Stays current on trends in each product category, and educates customers by offering suggestions, answering questions, etc.
  2. Determines weekly work schedule and establishes a daily work plan for the department.
  3. Inspects signage and displays for quality and quantity of merchandise and orders product for replenishment.
  4. Tracks proper rotation of products, checks for expired code dating, and orders merchandise for replenishment.
  5. Communicates with employees regarding sales and ideas. Assists in educating customers by offering suggestions and answering questions, etc.
  6. Handles and satisfies customer issues. Adheres to company policies and individual store guidelines.
  7. Figures retail pricing and ensures correct pricing.
  8. Analyzes weekly and monthly sales and trends, prepares ad projections, and writes ads.
  9. Plans displays, promotions, and determines pre-orders.
  10. Determines sanitation guidelines and procedures and ensures compliance.
  11. Operates cash register accurately and scans product, (where applicable) and reports improper cash levels in cash drawer.
  12. Fills displays, checks in delivered merchandise, and works in the sales area.
  13. Adheres to company policies and individual store guidelines.
  14. Reports to work when scheduled and on time.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Determines placement of merchandise and rearranges as needed.
2.Assists in other areas of store as needed.
3.Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; 1 3 years of previous related work experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near range with or without correction, depth perception, color vision (ability to identify and distinguish color), and field of vision.

  • Must be physically able to exert up to 100 pounds of force (energy exerted) occasionally; exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently; and exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

  • Must be able to perform the following physical activities: balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:

  • Must possess the ability to compose original correspondence; follow technical manuals and have increased contact with people.

  • Ability to do arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.

Working Conditions:

This position is exposed daily to dirt, noise, temperature extremes, dampness, vibrations, equipment movement hazards, cleaning chemicals/solvents, and electrical shock. This is a fast paced work environment.

Equipment Used to Perform Job:

Telephone, fax, copier, cash register, intercom system, wrapping machine, pallet jacks, forklift, garbage disposal, trash compactor, cardboard compactor, box cutter, knives, computer, calculator, bass, price gun, Telexon ordering unit, and C.A.R.S. system.

Financial Responsibility:

Responsible for merchandise.

Has daily contact with customers, suppliers/vendors, and the general public.

Confidentiality:

Has access to confidential information including pricing, monthly reports (sales per labor hour, total company sales, gross profits, labor, percent to total), employee compensation and files.

As a RN Manager of Clinical Practice, you will: * Have oversight of clinical activities, including patient assessments, individualized care plan development, care coordination, service level determination, on-site field visits, and the implementation/coordination/maintenance/evaluation of care plans to promote, maintain and restore the patient's health. * Responsible for management of clinical operations. * Provide oversight for appropriate and compliant clinical episodic reimbursement. * Participate in the recruitment, interviewing, selection, and orientation of team members. * Evaluate their performance relative to job goals/requirements; coach staff and recommends in-service education programs and ensure adherence to internal policies/standards. * Collaborate with the Care Manager on the assignment of clinical employees to assure the delivery of competent, quality patient care. * Promote quality and participate in care coordination to ensure proper communication between caregivers, patients, referral sources and payers. * Discuss operational issues, update staff on new/changed regulations and review records/documentation to ensure regulatory and in-house compliance. * Have oversight of clinical integrity of appropriate documentation, quality of care provided, visits utilization, appropriate contacts with physicians, adherence to the care plan, and evidence of care coordination between disciplines. * Be accountable for budget goals through fiscal responsibility, utilization, documentation, providing appropriate and accurate patient care, case mix weight, and appropriate utilization of delivery of patient care. * Provide oversight of delegation of the assessment and reassessment of patients, including updating of care plans and interpreting patient needs, while adhering to Company, physician, and/or health facility procedures/policies. * Provide oversight of communication between team members/attending physicians/caregivers to ensure the appropriateness of care and outcome planning and ensures compliance through review of documentation and care coordination activities. * Lead in performance improvement activities, maintains ongoing clinical knowledge through internal/external training programs, provide interpretation of knowledge and direction to staff. * Be responsible for continual survey readiness. * Assist with clinical billing audits to assure meeting financial metric benchmarks. * Assist branch manager with managing timelines and responding to ADRs and other external requests.
