Summary

This position works to provide assistance in coordination of special programs and statistical analysis and secretarial support.
This position works under the supervision of the Manager-Health Improvement Program and is employed by Mosaic Health System.

Duties

Coordinates routine individual projects by planning and organizing project steps utilizing "Paste" when needed.
Oversees billing activities for programs and maintains monthly log of financial activities. Maintains accurate inventory of supplies and orders as needed.
Prepares reports for outcome measures using specialized software to calculate confidence intervals for population variance and draw statistical inference from continuous probability distributions.
Coordinates marketing activities to promote the Health Management Program and participates in promotional events.
Coordinates appointments, meetings, rooms, equipment, and catering. Confirms attendance and makes appropriate arrangements prior to meeting/event.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred.
One year experience preferred.

Telehealth nursing encompasses all types of nursing care and services delivered across distances encompassing practices that incorporate a vast array of telecommunications technologies (such as telephone, fax, electronic mail, Internet, video monitoring, interactive video) to remove time and distance barriers for the delivery of nursing care. This position will promote and provide information for Disease Management Programs and act as a vehicle for two-way communication to patients, their caregivers, and their chosen physicians. This position will recommend a fiscally responsible care setting that is based on clinical needs and established protocols. * This position is employed by Mosaic Health System. Duties * Maintains the organization's standards of nursing care in accordance with policies and procedures. * Through the nursing process, using specific protocols and established resources: Collects specific data and records information in data base/documentation form, assesses the client's condition, provides accurate consistent information, formulates and recommends a plan of care, and validates the care plan with the client for completeness and accuracy. * Renders sound clinical recommendation based on ability to assess and prioritize clinical needs as presented through telephonic interview. Is competent in recognizing the gravity of a particular health care problem and able to act upon urgent medical problems while providing safe, effective and appropriate care. Works collaboratively with other team members as required in developing and implementing the plan of care. * Demonstrates a high degree of clinical expertise for primary care, patient education and competence in utilization of the nursing process. Reports pertinent observation and reactions regarding clients to the appropriate person (i.e. supervisor, department director, and provider). * Acts in the role of client and family advocate assisting them through the health care system. Answers inquiries regarding physicians on the medical staff and questions about the organization's services. Qualifications * Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred. * Current state licensure to practice as a registered nurse. Kansas Nursing licensure required within three (3) months of hire. * Three years of emergency department experience, ambulatory nursing, critical care or medical surgical nursing required. Broad base of nursing experience including but not limited to: Obstetrical, Pediatric, Nursery, and Orthopedic required. Previous telephone consultation experience and multilingual skills preferred but not mandatory.
