About the Opportunity:

Join our dynamic multidisciplinary team and play an important part in building brighter futures for children and families! Our Health Information Manager is responsible for management of the HIM/Medical Records in accordance with current accreditation standards and relevant federal and state laws, rules, and regulations. This position is responsible for the management of all segments of the legal and designated record sets for Trillium Family Services including active, archival, paper, and electronic medical records. Will maintain the security and confidentiality of client records. This Manager will manage inter-departmental communication and collaboration necessary for managing the various segments of the medical record, including auditing for timeliness and completion of the required record set. Provides leadership and supervision for HIM/Medical Records team; assesses and communicates changes in processes when needed and oversees training content ensuring best practice and ongoing process improvement. Is an available resource for informing and training other departments on the collaboration between HIM and other roles in the agency. Serves as the alternate Custodian of Records in legal disclosure documentation when the Director of HIM is unavailable. This position oversees the management of the Waverly Baby Home Adoption Registry.

  • Location: Corvallis (Children Farm Home) or Portland (Parry Center for Children) - Remote work an option with occasional in office hours (MUST BE AN OREGON RESIDENT)

  • Program/Department: Medical Records

  • Schedule: 40 Hours/Week - Exempt

  • Salary: Commensurate with experience/certifications.

About You:

  • Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)

  • 5 years' experience in Health Information, Disclosure, and records management

  • Background in quality improvement preferred.

  • 2 years' supervisory experience

  • Advanced EXCEL experience

  • RHIA preferred but not required.
