Health Information Management (HIM) Assistant

Full Time, Day Shift, Monday- Friday (8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.)

Position Summary: The position assists the Health Information Technician/Practitioner of the center with clerical and other duties established for the medical record keeping practices.

Education: High school graduate or equivalent.

Licensure: Certification of CCS, CCA, or CPC-A preferred, not required.

Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of previous experience working in the field of Health Information preferred.

Be able to type and understand the Medical Record Systems, including filing. Understand and utilize medical terminology, ICD-10-CM, coding principles, concurrent and Discharge Analysis Procedures, scanning and attention to detail.

About NHC Bristol: Our campus is home to a 121-bed post-acute 24-hour skilled nursing Health Care Center. We see many individuals who need skilled nursing care after a stroke, joint replacement surgery, a cardiac procedure or a serious illness.
