Make a difference in the community as a Health Coordinator with our Venice Family Clinic. This position assists with developing, implementation and monitoring an effective record-keeping system towards fulfilling the health and disabilities requirements in the Head Start Performance Standards. The Health Coordinator will assist the Health Services Manager to implement our Head Start services, and reports to the Children First Early Head Start Health Services Manager.

Job Qualifications

Required:
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
Knowledge of Child Care Licensing Regulations and Head Start Performance Standards and best practices related to special education, early intervention and early childhood education
Knowledge of children's community health and nutrition practices and procedures
Knowledge of public health and related programs in the community
Computer skills and skills in the operation of instruments and equipment used in performing any required procedures.
Ability to recognize problem areas in health and nutrition
Good interpersonal skills and communication skills; ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff children, parents and other agencies
Ability to exercise professional judgment and maintain all information in strict confidentiality.
Preferred: Head Start or Early Head start experience in Health and experience with Childplus reporting.
