We provide services to the medically under-served at 14 sites in Montgomery and northern Prince George's counties in Maryland. Our services include primary care, behavioral health, dental, adolescent health, HIV and infectious disease testing and treatment, prenatal, and family planning. CCI Health & Wellness Services is also the largest provider of WIC services in the state of Maryland.

CCI Health and Wellness providers are insured under the Federal Tort Claims Act. We are an approved site for the NHSC loan repayment program.

The Health Center Medical Director (HCMD) will assist the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) in leading the clinical operations at our Silver Spring location. In conjunction with other site leaders, the HCMD ensures the delivery of safe, high quality, evidence-based medicine. S/He supports the agency's immediate and long-range strategic planning initiatives and is integral to the successful achievement of organizational results.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver primary health care to a multicultural, multilingual patient population in an outpatient, ambulatory care setting.

  • Manage physicians and mid-level practitioners in the delivery of evidence based clinical care.

  • Provide on-site supervision, coaching, mentoring and assistance to provider staff as needed.

  • Conduct annual evaluations and provide recommendations for promotion and performance improvement.

  • Precept residents, medical students, and advanced practice students.

  • Promote and foster an atmosphere of teamwork and excellence among staff.

  • Participate in coordinating provider scheduling and coverage.

  • Leads monthly meetings with site providers and contributes to the planning and execution of quarterly all-staff meetings

  • Provide accurate time keeping for staff. Monitor and regulate use of Paid Time Off.

Qualifications

  • Valid license to practice medicine in the State of MD, valid Maryland CDS and DEA licenses, and be Board Certified in Family Medicine.

  • Experience in the development and management of quality, risk and utilization review processes.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills.

  • Being bi-lingual in English and Spanish is preferred

We are looking for a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant at our Silver Spring health center to perform clinical and administrative tasks for both Pediatric and Adult patients under the direct supervision of a licensed physician. The CMA/RMA will assist with patient preparation for exams, minor office procedures, and with the examination and education of patients. The CMA/RMA supports other members of the clinical team by assuring optimal patient flow, managing a variable and unpredictable patient volume throughout the work day. Responsibilities * Greet patients and family members in a courteous manner * Screen patients and document information accurately in patient's chart * Escort patients to treatment room, preparing patient with clear instructions * Prepare patients for examination and perform routine screening tests * Measure and record vital signs * Assist with medical procedures * Perform Phlebotomy, EKG, and collection of lab specimens * Educate patients and family members concerning the visit and procedures performed * Provide all proper discharge and follow up instructions to patients * Ensure that each patient room is prepared and properly stocked with equipment and supplies * Perform outreach calls to patients and specialty offices as requested * Check electronic outbox of providers and address urgent issues * Complete EHR data entry * Adhere to all safety protocols including standard precautions, transmission-based precautions, and other infection control policies Qualifications * High School graduate, or equivalent * Must have current Medical Assistant certification * Ability to maintain quality, safety, and / or infection control standards. * Knowledge of methods, procedures and protocols, including federal, state and local laws for the * handling and disposal of hazardous biochemical waste products. * Communication skills (including appropriate medical terminology) * Ability to use good reasoning and judgment to react calmly in emergency situations * Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred * Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred CCI Health and Wellness offers full medical, dental and vision coverage, short and long term disability insurance, life insurance, and a 403(b) retirement plan (with an employer contribution of up to 4% of salary) for all full time employees.
