We have an opening for a Full Time Health Center Manager RN to work at our employer health center located in New Brunswick, NJ!

We are seeking a Full-time, Health Center Manager RN for our client's worksite health and wellness center. Our Health Center Manager RN manages, supervises, and coordinates staff and health center operations. This role will work 40 hours per week. The hours worked will be 8:30a-5:00p Mon-Fri.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversees the overall management of a medium size health center

  • Provides a moderate amount of time (20- 30%), dedicated to patient care and/or technical expertise (fitness etc.) as needed

  • Manages technical Team Leaders and monitors all daily operational processes for Medical Leaders and providers

  • Compiles input for the performance appraisal process for all staff members

  • Manages staff composed of nurses, providers, administrative and technical staff (staff may be exempt or nonexempt); Responsible for following appropriate processes for staff management including talent acquisition, staff development and performance management. Provides input to Account Manager for the final staffing decisions

  • Responsible for interviewing, training and ensuring the successful orientation and onboarding of new colleagues

  • Manages daily operations, workflow, work schedules, timecard monitoring etc. to ensure efficient and effective Health Center performance

  • Identifies process improvement opportunities and presents resolutions and recommendations to the Account Manager

  • Makes recommendation regarding staffing model based on objective scheduling & volume analysis - presents to Account Manager for approval

  • Understands and complies with all regulatory, procedural, policy and licensing requirements

  • Completes incident reports as needed and provides assistance to the Medical Care and Outcomes dept. regarding investigations and the resolution of complaints

  • Communicates and coordinates corporate messages and ensures implementation of policies and procedures are followed

  • Coaches and provides feedback to staff on a regular basis

  • Manages internal budget, reviews expenses, purchases supplies, inventories equipment, medication etc. where appropriate

  • Assists in the identification and scheduling of local per diems

  • Works collaboratively with the Medical Leader at the site to manage internal site issues

  • Communicates regularly with staff, conducts meetings and keeps staff informed

  • May interact with client representatives as required

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Current license as Registered Nurse in practicing state

  • Current certification in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for health care providers is required (with hands on component)

  • Minimum 1-2 years management experience

  • Minimum of 3 years clinical experience

  • Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health experience

  • Must have experience with Case Management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong computer skills (Internet software, spreadsheet, word processing etc.)

  • Training skills a plus

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and work flow management skills

  • Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records

The Health Care Case Manager functions to support the Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS)/Department of Children and Families (DCF) in meeting the health care and protection needs of children in out-of-home placement, in collaboration with the other staff of the Child Health Unit in that local office. The Health Care Case Manager provides nursing case management services in home, local office and health care settings. Nursing case management services include nursing assessment of a child’s health status and care needs, development of a health plan, maintenance of a medical passport/health summary, ongoing monitoring, coordination of care, advocacy, and health education to assure that each child in out-of-home placement receives appropriate health care, per EPSDT and AAP guidelines. Assists with enrollment of child in managed care entity and identification of a medical home upon entry into out-of-home placement; informs the child, caregiver, and DCF/CP&P. Assesses child’s health care status and needs by retrieving a complete health history through obtaining and reviewing all medical records and interviewing past providers and caregivers; forwards all information to the medical home and other health providers. Schedules an Initial Physical Health Evaluation, in consultation with caregivers and DCF/CP&P; reviews the preliminary and final reports, and ensures that all recommendations for health care are completed. Develops a Child Health Care Plan in collaboration with the child’s medical home, specialists, caregivers, and other providers. Ensures that the child is scheduled for and attends timely EPSDT visits and specialty appointments; reviews all reports and forwards necessary reports to the medical home. Provides ongoing monitoring of children’s health, behavioral health, developmental and educational status, and ensures that appropriate health care and services are in place. Maintains systematic communication, contact, and consultation with the child’s caregivers and the DCF/CP&P case management team; educates caregivers and DCF/CP&P staff about health issues,which are pertinent to child’s care. Facilitates transfer of care and records to an identified medical home and HMO care manager when the child is changing placement or upon reunification or permanent placement. Provides assistance when accidents or illnesses occur in workplace emergencies; performs CPR as indicated and notifies 911 and supervisor.
