Murdoch Center is currently recruiting a HCT Lead/Preceptor for Alpine Cottage. The primary purpose of the Health Care Technician Lead (Preceptor) is to facilitate the necessary training and documentation skills for all divisional staff. Further, the Preceptor:
Assists in ensuring overall program quality and serves as liaison to the Staff Development Department
Assists in coordinating the orientation of Alpine Cottage new employees to ensure staff are properly introduced to Murdoch Developmental Center and Alpine Cottage policies and procedures
Conducts Quality Assurance monitoring, second shift/weekend monitoring, goal observations, chart audits, mealtime observations, divisional safety checks, review of division policies and submits training reports to Staff Development
Scheduled work hours: 8:00am
5:00pm, Monday
Friday, with one late night per week (11:30am
8:00pm). Hours vary at times depending on divisional training needs. This may involve early AM to late PM on 1st, 2nd and/or 3rd shifts.
This is a full-time position and eligible for the full State benefits package including health insurance, paid sick/vacation/holidays, retirement, etc.

Ability to work independently and as a member of an Interdisciplinary Team
Management Preference:
Three (3) years experience in health care work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge in MS Word, Power Point, and Excel
Ability to communicate verbally and adapt training methods to audience to to relay training needs and assure adherence to policies and procedures
Ability to organize and plan their schedule with minimal supervision
Physical Requirements (if applicable)
Applicant must have the ability to pass a physical requirements test, must be certified in or able to obtain an instructor certification in CPR, Body Mechanics and lifting.
Nurse Aide I & II Certification NOT necessary for this position
