Health Care Research and Evaluation VISTA with RHN

Rural Health Network SCNY (RHN)'s mission is to advance the health and well-being of rural people and communities. The RHN VISTA program, Rural Health Service Corps, will seek to eliminate poverty in the proposed service areas, and expects to benefit program participants, community members, and host organizations.

Twenty VISTA members total will contribute to the goals of the project by performing activities such as strategic planning, research, grant writing, training, volunteer management, and coalition building over the course of the next year. Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.

Member Duties : Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Community Health, The Health Care Research and Evaluation VISTA will work closely with Rural Health Network SCNY (RHN) and a regional hospital system to develop and implement a learning plan and care model focused on improving rural healthcare access. This project will improve and enhance healthcare services in rural communities and establish more effective training for healthcare workers. The VISTA will be an integral member of RHN's Community Health team and the hospital system's project steering committee.
