Health and Wellness Program Manager

Work location: Manchester, NH

Responsible for the development, coordination, implementation, and ongoing management of community health programs by engaging in partnerships with employer groups and associations in the key and large group market. Program consultants typically support business strategies through an integrated portfolio of external client facing projects or initiatives.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Serves as the New Hampshire Subject Matter Expert in all health and wellness programs.

  • Attends Sales team meetings regularly to ensure that team is appraised and trained on all products and programs.

  • Meets regularly with large group sales Account Managers to identify client specific health and wellness needs.

  • Provides strategic consultation to targeted groups around wellness opportunities.

  • Coordinates appropriate resources to meet the wellness program needs for employer groups by providing clinical vendor services for screenings and educational materials to support the screening services.

  • Provides onsite and telephonic consultation during employer groups' planning and implementation of wellness programs based on evidence-based strategies, best-practice examples, sound literature, creative and innovative ideas, and internal experts.

  • Works with Account Managers to analyze medical data and other metrics to determine which health and wellness programs would be beneficial to the group.

  • Provides support for timely and accurate reports and communications for internal and external customers regarding community health programs.

  • Creates monthly wellness newsletter for accounts to distribute.

  • Be the local point of contact for wellness vendors such as Maxim, Scott, Lawson, etc.

  • Meets monthly with State of NH and Healthtrust accounts.

Requires a BA/BS degree; 5-7 years of external client facing experience in program/project management; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Graduate degree preferred.

  • Project management certification preferred.

  • RN or Registered Dietitian preferred.

  • Basic working knowledge of insurance/medical claims and utilization.

  • Understanding of NH businesses' needs, small and large group, rural and urban and how they differ.

  • Ability to travel up to 30-40% time within state of New Hampshire.
