Opportunity: Health and Safety Systems Analyst
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
To manage the operation, development and data integrity of Coats' electronic H&S Information System (Coats Intelex)
To provide analysis of system data to enable identification of trends and incident prevention opportunities
To configure applications and design/generate custom reports and dashboards of H&S performance and KPI's
To train and mentor users on the proper operation of Coats Intelex workflows and applications
Partner with external vendor consultants to configure and streamline Coats Intelex
Develop the policies, systems, procedures, user guides and training on the Coats Intelex system.
Design and develop reports and dashboards for H&S Cluster heads and other business unit use
Validate proper data entry by users and ensure proper use of the system
Lead efforts to analyse, implement, support and improve software.
Partner with Information Technology department to ensure proper user access is maintained.
Serve as a dedicated resource to users to ensure a timely resolution of issues and provide exclusive support in the day-to-day operations.
Communicate interruptions in system availability and manage the implementation of major upgrades.
Support other H&S management system, reporting, and program needs
Education, qualifications and experience:
Successful completion of post-secondary education in Computer Science or Occupational Health & Safety or a demonstrated 5 year working knowledge of the field.
Familiar with Environmental, Health & Safety management systems and performance indicators
Strong computer skills (Work, Excel, Access, Powerpoint)
Experience working with relational databases
Excellent data analysis and evaluation skills
Excellent project management skills
Good verbal, written and presentation skills.
Capable of developing training materials and delivering the material in person or via remote media.
Prior experience working with Intelex.
Strong knowledge of SQL
Experience of achieving and maintaining ISO compliance.
