Position Purpose and Summary
This Health and Safety Professional is based at Cargill's largest plant globally in the outskirts of Omaha, NE. You will provide facility-wide supervision in all safety arenas including personal safety, safety system development and compliance, safety training as well as assisting in compliance strategies for these programs. You will lead all the health and safety (EHS) data management, processes, program development and implementation. This position will influence operational decisions about capital expansion, and modification to existing operations to support continued compliance with Business Unit (BU), Corporate and regulatory agency requirements.

30% Manage/Lead facility Health & Safety(H&S) programs including organizing and directing resources, communicating and leading facility H&S initiatives, developing and implementing facility H&S business plan and managing safety policies
25% Develop strategies for building and driving a zero injury culture through safety commitment.
20% Training for all plant employees on safety policies, permits and procedures.
20% Focus on injury prevention activities local and across the BU.
5% Promote Cargill through involvement in community activities and professional organizations.
Bachelor's Degree in Health and Safety or other degree with industrial emphasis.
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience with detailed participation in H&S processes.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to take information and prioritize needs.
Knowledge of H&S requirements
Preferred Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Master's Degree in Health and Safety related field.
Experience leading H&S initiatives for a facility.
Strong presentation skills.
Ability to work in teams.
Ability to influence others.
