Responsibilities The Health and Safety Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Safety Manager in promoting and sustaining a safe work environment in order to avoid and minimize Health and Safety related problems. These problems include but are not limited to prevention of human injury, emergency response and unsafe working conditions/practices.

This is done through health, safety, training, programs, and processes with a visible and uncompromised commitment to the protection of the environment as well as the productivity of the Company's employees. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential requirements represents the knowledge, skill, and/or ability. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodation for disabilities may be made for one or more of the following: Safety: Provide day-to-day support of plant activities including safety aspects which include daily employee safety, machine guarding, personal protective equipment, consulting on safety matters and responsible for safety system analysis, review, anticipate, identify, and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices Coordinate and facilitate site wide training programs, including planning training sessions, updates, and site-specific presentations for the Rancho Cucamonga facility.

Safety Program Implementation: Implement site safety programs and ensure compliance with federal, state, local and corporate compliance. Coordinate with SAFETY Manager to roll-out new safety standards and best practices.

Work with plant staff to implement new site Safety Standards. OSHA and CUPA Compliance: Interact with OSHA and CUPA inspectors and representatives during plant inspections.

Provide relevant citation data and photographs to corporate safety personnel. Partner with SAFETY Manager to determine citations eligible for challenge. Near-Miss / Accident Investigations:

Lead and facilitate incident investigations with site leadership. Assess accidents and near misses and perform Root Cause Analyses. Analyze investigation results and analyze trends to ensure a reduction in future accidents.

Plant Safety Culture Leadership: Lead plant Safety Committee and promote employee engagement to develop an active and robust safety culture. Schedule and plan monthly Safety Committee meetings.

SAFETY Rep Leadership: Coordinate and Monitor on-site SAFETY Representatives, ensuring proper training and equipment is available. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety audits per facility audit schedule.

Support the site safety standards, equivalent to ISO 14001 and 45001 Worker's Compensation : Responsible for timely filing of Workers' Compensation claims with third party administrator and maintains correspondence and written information related to employee Workers' compensation claims Reviews restrictions and matches restrictions with available and appropriate transitional duty assignments as assigned. Periodically contacts employees on Transitional duty or lost time. Coordinate Return to work / Modified duty programs.

Monitors and arranges for timely return to work of employees. Maintains OSHA logs, injury, absence, modified / transitional duty, and other alternative electronic data methods. Prepares reports for OSHA compliance.

Manages, maintains and submits annual OSHA recordkeeping forms Other: Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety audits per facility audit schedule. Maintain and monitor compliance calendar to ensure timely regulatory compliance.

Work in team environment, coordinate and manage multiple projects and assignments, analyze process data, troubleshoot plant operations, and assist in the implementation of solutions. Perform "on-call" duties on rotation with the supervisory team. Be part of an effective team within the plant that works well with other functions; sales, marketing, finance, human resources, engineering and corporate EHS. #LI-USA Qualifications To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

Proficient in basic computer software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc). Under administrative direction, the Building &amp; Safety Services Director will manage, plan, and direct the Building &amp; Safety Services Department including the City's plan check and inspection of buildings, new construction for fire safety, and the enforcement of a variety of municipal codes and regulations. This position coordinates activities with those of other City functions and outside agencies and performs related duties as required. ARE YOU QUALIFIED</p><p>Education and/or Experience</p><p>Graduation from an accredited college with a bachelor's degree in structural, mechanical, or civil engineering, architecture, or a related field is required. Eight years of increasingly responsible experience as a supervisor or administrator in the design, construction, and inspection of public commercial, industrial, and residential buildings or any combination of training and experience that provides the desired level of experience.</p><p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p><p>Knowledge of building, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and fire-related codes and regulations, including the International Building Code; methods, techniques, and practices employed in building design and construction; principles and practices of organization, administration, budgeting, and personnel management; organization and functions of the various trades, agencies, and organizations involved in the construction process. Ability to supervise Building &amp; Safety Services staff; deal effectively with contractors, developers, architects, engineers, representatives from public agencies, and the general public; communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; read detailed plans and specifications to determine compliance with appropriate codes; conduct the most difficult and complex inspections; coordinate fire and life safety regulation and enforcement activities with the Fire Chief and Fire Marshall; and work cooperatively and effectively with Planning, Engineering, Public Works, Fire, and the City Manager.</p><p>Special Requirements</p><p>Registration as an Engineer or Licensing as an Architect in the State of California is desirable.
